Abstract

Intractable nephrotic syndrome which gets the pa-tients hospitalized for along time and requires lots of albumin replacment causes various economical and sociological problems to the patients and their family. To get rid of these problems, we
perfomed
bilateral renal artery embolization with absolute ethanol in a patient who suffered from diabetes mellitus for 15 years, which ended up to the refractory nephrotic syndrome accompanied by mild chronic renal failure, Bilateral renal artery
emblolization
was performed without complication except for some dyspnea, right flank pain and lethargy. Now the patient is undergo-ing maintenance hemodialysis relatively well.
